Renewable Energy - Solar Electric
From the Video
Photovoltaic Cells. Electricity from the Sun. My name is Phil Coupe. Solar energy is clean and renewable. The solar cell. Direct Current (DC). Alternating current (AC). Coal-fired power plants are one of the main energy sources in the northeast. They're not clean energy sources. There is a lot of low-hanging fruit. Solar electricity is a zero-emission source. Solar energy technology has been around for about 50 years in the United States. With a solar electric system there is almost no maintenance. You just put up the solar electricity system and forget about it. You might not even think about the solar panels for 25 years. You can harvest solar energy all year round, even with a climate like Maine's. The best place for it in the US is Arizona. The upfront cost is substantial. The payback for solar energy panels is 12-15 years, currently. As energy prices go up and technology gets better these numbers will obviously change. 1 KW installed in main will give you $70 off your electric bill.

Hi,
It is very informative video. I am a big fan of using solar energy in our home. I have a solar hot water heater system installed at my home. After 4 months I see the difference in my energy bill. While i was searching on net i found this site www.solargadgetsinfo.com that has great information on solar products.
