Daniel Kammen, Director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory at UC, Berkeley, says why renewable energy may take less time to see widespread incorporation that critcs have previously suggested. One thing out of the energy industry is that alternatives are great, but there are no ways to scale them up to be used widely in our society. How can we move from a coal-based energy portfolio to one that is more sustainable? Let's reduce our emissions 80%.
